What
is Homestay?
Homestay
is an opportunity for students to live with host families in
order to increase their awareness of Canadian culture and to
accelerate development of English language skills. Families
have been chosen because they display a commitment towards the
student's involvements in activities, are interested in intercultural
communication, and most importantly are English speaking. Each
student will have their own bedroom and study area and will
be provided with three meals per day. They will have a chance
to learn about the Canadian culture and lifestyle through the
interactions with a Canadian family.
IEA works closely with homestay department of partner institutions and independent agencies to provide students with their suitable host families.
